Every frame here is pulled from Lloyd's clean read at its real timecode. Every panel carries the number of the Frame.io comment it matches, so you can work from Frame.io and use this to see it.
The whole film at a glance
Each block is as wide as the scene runs in the final cut, Lloyd plus Sam. The green strip is Sam's share. The gold bar is how hard to cut it. Tap a block to jump to it.
Where people leave
28 seconds of Lloyd on the customer profile with nothing planned to cut to. The longest pure talking run in the film, and it sits in Step 2.
Lopsided Steps
Step 4 is the longest, Step 7 the shortest. Sam's 20 seconds and the year graphic carry Step 7 to 51, so it holds up next to the others.
Sam's share
A sixth of the film across eight clips. 43 seconds of it sits in Step 1, which stays in the long form.
What we are working with
Worth knowing before you open the project. All of this comes from the file, not the script.
Angle
One locked off mid shot for all 10:37. The bloopers came out in Resolve, so it's joined line to line. He resets to hands clasped before most lines, so most joins hide, but at least 18 visibly jump. List below.
Pace
2,320 words in 10:37 is 219 a minute, and no gap between words runs past half a second. Don't tighten him further. The breathing room comes from Sam and the cutaways.
Graphics zone
From about three quarters across, the frame is near black top to bottom. Every chip, stat and lower third can live there without touching him.
In frame
The boom arm comes in from frame left to his shoulder. Even at C it stays in. Don't fight it, it's the set. In 9:16, reframe so it doesn't cross his face.
Colour
The mic arm carries a bright blue cable across the top left, the old brand blue. The warm practical behind him already sits close to the gold, so gold graphics will look native.
Sam's clips
Each clip is a slice of the finished testimonial: its own burned in word captions and its own B-roll (drone, kitchens, resin going down, other customers). Nothing goes on top.
Frame rates
The read is 50fps, Sam's clips are 25fps. In a 25 timeline the read gives clean half speed and smooth slow pushes for free.
Captions
The captions file covers Lloyd only and ends at 10:37. Sam's cold open at 0:00 pushes everything 14 seconds later, so lay the captions against the read before any Sam insert.
Sam's audio
In seven of the eight clips the audio falls to near silence between Sam's words, so there's no testimonial music bed to fight yours. Sam 5 is too dense to tell, give it a listen.

Visible joins and what covers each
Ten of the eighteen sit under a cutaway Frame.io already plans. The other eight get a size change, marked on their panels.
Three sizes out of one angle
The master is 4K, so every punch is an upscale. B is free to the eye. C is softer, so it's rationed to the lesson line at the end of each Step, with nothing on screen.

Size A · 100%
Opens a Step, lets a thought breathe. Graphics sit in the black on the right.

Size B · 118%
An upscale nobody will see. Use it on every join that has no cutaway over it.

Size C · 150%
Soft next to a sharp graphic, fine on its own. So never a graphic on C. About eleven in the film.
Step, don't jump: A to B and B to C read as edits, A straight to C reads as a mistake. Every Step ends on its lesson line at C, which also ends its Short.
The rules that don't move
01/50 The START HERE comment carries most of these, plus the assets in Links below.
Numbers on screen match his mouth. Seven months, never eight. ACG's fee appears nowhere.
Made up names and postcodes on every lead, form or pipeline graphic. Blur real names in Ads Manager.
Crop ‘One Team, Three Brothers’ out. ACG is two brothers, Will and Sam, plus George on sales.
Gold is a stroke or a word. The only gold fill in the video is the end CTA.
Punch ceiling is 150%. C only on lesson lines, and nothing on screen at C.
Nothing on top of Sam. No captions, chips or punches over his clips, they're finished picture.
Never reorder the argument. Three stages, eight Steps, in order. Sam goes exactly where the SAM comments say.

The storyboard
Timecodes are the read's, before any Sam insert, so they match Frame.io. The gold number on each frame is its Frame.io comment. Panels with no number are framing notes the comments don't cover.
Scene 01 · 0:00 to 0:40 · 40s + 14s Sam
Forty seconds of Lloyd behind fourteen of Sam. Four lane changes before 0:30, the busiest stretch in the film. Keep it that way.

Cold open on Sam clip 1, ‘I think the total is about 700K’. Trim the interviewer's question off the front.
The client says the number before Lloyd says a word. Hard cut to Lloyd, no title card.
0:01A03/50Hard cut to Lloyd at A on ‘In January 2026’.
The room as shot. The trailer runs from Sam's cold open to 0:39.

ACG's Ads Manager: the four January boosted posts, spend and results columns, no leads.
He says ‘about 230 quid’. The four boosts total £235.83, so type no total until Lloyd decides.
0:13BBack on him at B for ‘that is usually the point where a builder decides’.
There is a join at 0:13. The size change hides it.

Stat pop: £9,628 small, then £700K big, built in step with the words.
Sam already said 700K, so this pays it off rather than revealing it.

Then the pipeline graphic: about 250 enquiry cards, most fade, about 8 stay lit, £700,000 counts up.
Made up names and postcodes on every card. It comes back at 1:20, so build it once.
0:35A03/50Size A for ‘In this video I'm going to be breaking down exactly what changed’.
The trailer cuts out on ‘the bits that went wrong’ at 0:39, then its end card.
Open Nothing is planned on ‘adds around £100,000 in additional revenue each month’ (0:29). My instinct: let the £700,000 counter finish under it, then cut back to him.
Scene 02 · 0:40 to 1:20 · 40s
Who it's for, who Lloyd is, how ACG found him. The gym story is the only picture in it, so it carries the scene.
0:41BStraight to lens at B for ‘If you run a trade or any sort of building firm’. Nothing on screen.
This is the filter line. Text on it turns a sentence to one viewer into an advert.
Lower third on ‘My name is Lloyd’: name in type, Hunt Visuals in the chip.
Graphics page 02. No panel behind the name. The black on the right of frame is clean.

Under ‘ACG Builders have been with us since January’: one of our Worthing ads, the kind Will scrolled past.
From the HV Worthing ads folder. On a phone if you can, he says ‘seen my face on his phone’ at 1:13.

From ‘spotted me at David Lloyd’, BTS of Lloyd with the ACG lads.
The only story in the setup. Let it run as pictures to ‘trying to sell him something’.
Scene 03 · 1:20 to 1:39 · 19s
Nineteen seconds that set up the whole film: not loads of leads, the right handful. One graphic, then the promise.

Reuse the pipeline graphic slowed down, landing on the 8 lit cards.
On screen: 250 enquiries. About 8 jobs. Same build as 0:26, so it reads faster the second time.
1:34BPunch to B on ‘Everything we did for this team was part of three stages’.
No preview of the stages here. The chapter chips do that job from 1:39.
STAGE 1 · BEFORE A SINGLE AD
Scene 04 · 1:39 to 2:30 · 51s + 43s Sam
51 seconds of Lloyd and 43 of Sam, so Sam carries almost half. Long form only, no Short comes from this Step.

Chapter chip top left: Stage 1, Before a single ad. Then Step 1, The goal.
Only the number is gold. There's a join at 1:39.7 after ‘Step one’, so go A to B there.

Will, Sam and George together, from any ACG shoot day, under ‘we sat down with Will and Sam’.
He says it on camera: the two brothers own it, George handles sales. The picture should agree.
2:00BB for ‘This helped us find what was going wrong’.
Twenty seconds of Lloyd from 1:49. One size change in the middle keeps it moving.

Insert Sam clip 2 after ‘realistically take on’ (2:09).
‘We just wanted to fill the diary stress free.’ Then back to Lloyd on ‘the boys weren't quiet’.

Insert Sam clip 3 after ‘Sam could see a gap coming’ (2:15).
There is a join in the read at 2:15 too, so Sam's clip covers it for free.
2:16CC for ‘Marketing is always worth starting earlier while you've still got work’. Nothing on screen.
The lesson of the Step. Step back to B at the join at 2:24.
Open If Sam clip 3 drags, comment 13 lets you trim its middle. Keep ‘now that has gone’ and ‘the diary's now full’.
Scene 05 · 2:30 to 3:48 · 78s
1:18 of Lloyd and no Sam. It holds the longest run of pure talking in the film, 2:31 to 2:59. This is where people leave.

Chapter chip: Step 2, The customer. On screen: Who actually books.
The caption is white type with the payoff word in Begum gold, graphics page 04.
2:48BB on ‘For the boys, it was mostly homeowners from their 40s to late 60s’.
There is a join at 2:40. The size change belongs there, not on a word.

Under ‘So we created videos that explain their options’: clips from ACG's explainer videos.
The ones walking through the options. Covers a join at 3:07 too.

The budget question on ACG's lead form, made up answers only.
Hold it through ‘save George time weeding through people’. It's the proof of the line.
3:30BB on ‘Within the ads, we also mentioned that they weren't the cheapest’.
If one of ACG's ads says it, two seconds of that ad beats him saying it. Lloyd to say if it exists.
3:41CC for ‘Your customers have already told you what you need to put in your ads’. Nothing on screen.
The lesson of the Step.
Open Nothing is planned from 2:31 to 2:59. My instinct: a caption, ‘Homeowners, 40s to late 60s’, in the right third at 2:47. Your call.
Scene 06 · 3:48 to 4:55 · 67s
The one Step with a mistake in it, and the best story. The map tells it: drawn at 3:52, broken at 4:23, pulled in at 4:46.

Chapter chip: Step 3, The area. On screen: Worthing to Brighton. No further.
Same chip build as every Step. Only the number is gold.
3:5320/50Map: Worthing in the middle, the area drawn from Brighton across to Littlehampton, everything outside greyed out.
Draw it on ‘Worthing to Brighton’ and hold it through ‘travel costs’ at 4:07.
4:09BB for ‘we didn't actually lock the age in the settings’.
There is a join at 4:08 and nothing planned over it. This size change is the cover.
4:2421/50On the 400 grand job: a pin just past the edge in Brighton, tagged £400K.
He says ‘slightly further into Brighton than we would have liked’ at 4:26. Pin lands on ‘400 grand’.
4:34AStay on him for ‘So yeah, it would have been all right, but like I say’.
An ad lib, not in the script, and the most human line in the Step. Don't trim it for pace.

The postcode question on the form, made up postcodes only.
Lands on ‘include the post codes in the questions’ at 4:41.
4:4721/50At 4:46 the area pulls in tighter, on ‘pulled the radius even tighter’.
Old edge dashed, new edge gold. The pin from 4:23 sits outside it now.
4:52CC for ‘From this point forward, we had more ideal work in their preferred area’.
End of the story. Short 1 cuts out here, before the Quick pause.
Scene 07 · 4:55 to 5:08 · 13s
Thirteen seconds of ask in the middle of the film, lowest energy on purpose. It comes out of every Short.
CTA with a gold stroke: DM GROWTH @huntvisualsuk.
He says ‘DM us the word growth’ and never says the handle, so the chip carries it.
5:07AKeep ‘Let's get back to the video’, cut tight into ‘Step four’.
It's the hinge back to ACG. No Short carries it.
STAGE 2 · THE ADS
Scene 08 · 5:08 to 6:30 · 82s
The longest Step at 1:22 and the one with most to cut to. BTS carries the first 40 seconds, then the team ad and Ads Manager.

Chapter chip: Stage 2, The ads. Then Step 4, The shoot.
Same pair of chips as Stage 1 at 1:39.

BTS from ACG's shoot days under everything up to 5:47: kit going in, the lads being directed, takes.
Thirty six seconds of the job being done. Let the pictures talk.

‘Before, Sam was just posting random pictures’: scroll their old Instagram photo posts from before January.
Covers the join at 5:28.

Quick montage on the words, about a second each: talking to camera, a voiceover ad, a customer review, a before and after.
Cut on each phrase. It hides the join at 5:38.

The team ad with the brothers and George, under ‘Being on camera did not come naturally to the boys’.
Ads Manager calls it One Team, Three Brothers. Wrong: two brothers and George. Crop the name out.

Ads Manager: the £20 a day test campaign (261023 ABO test) next to the main campaign.
Under ‘every new ad goes into a small test first’. Blur any real names.
6:16BBack on him at B for ‘you only need to film every two to three months’.
Advice for the viewer, not ACG. Keep it clean.
6:25CC for ‘So make sure to show the faces of your team in your ads’. Nothing on screen.
The lesson of the Step.
Scene 09 · 6:30 to 7:36 · 66s + 20s Sam
1:06 of Lloyd and 20 seconds of Sam. The Instagram screen recording does most of the work from 6:53.

Chapter chip: Step 5, The page. On screen: They check you before they call.
One gold word in the caption, the payoff.
6:38BB on ‘give them 50, 100 grand or even more for a project’.
No stat here. It's a range in passing, not a claim.

Screen record ACG's Instagram: username highlighted on ‘actual username’ (7:07), bio on ‘the bio’ (7:08), then scroll the grid.
He explains the account's SEO from 6:55, which the script didn't have. Time the highlights to his words.

Before and afters from ACG, two or three, quick.
On ‘loads of before and afters’ at 7:19.

Insert Sam clip 4 after ‘a bonus none of us planned for’ (7:29).
‘People that have used us in the past.’ Past customers coming back off the page.
7:30CC for ‘The ad is what gets them curious’. Nothing on screen.
Longer than the script, he adds ‘nurture them over time’. Keep all of it.
Open 6:31 to 6:53 has nothing planned. If it sags, a scroll of a dead Instagram page (any trade, made up name) under ‘their last post was from three months ago’ would land it.
STAGE 3 · AFTER THEY ENQUIRE
Scene 10 · 7:36 to 8:20 · 44s + 15s Sam
44 seconds of Lloyd with two short Sam clips inside it. The pipeline graphic is the hero of this Step.

Chapter chip: Stage 3, After they enquire. Then Step 6, The follow up.
There is a join at 7:36. Open the Step at A, out of the C before it.

Insert Sam clip 5 after ‘flat out on site’ (7:47).
‘Sometimes when we're busy, you might miss an enquiry.’ The problem in the client's words.
7:48B39/50Take ‘whenever’ out of ‘the second whenever someone fills in’ (7:47.8 to 7:48.2) if it cuts clean.
Reads as ‘the second someone fills in an ACG form’. Change size across the cut.

Pipeline graphic: new enquiry, text sent, George alerted, call, site visit, quote, won.
Made up names and postcodes. Run it from 7:50 through ‘nobody gets forgotten’ at 8:05.

Insert Sam clip 6 after ‘over the next few days’ (8:10).
‘Enquiries thick and fast, he can cherry pick.’ Six seconds, the shortest clip.
8:12CC for ‘ring them as fast as you can while it's still in their hand’. Nothing on screen.
The cover line of Short 2.
Open ‘The lads get a text with their name, contact info...’ lists seven fields in eight seconds (7:52). My instinct: show the alert as a phone notification inside the pipeline build, made up details.
Scene 11 · 8:20 to 8:51 · 31s + 20s Sam
The shortest Step at 31 seconds, under half of Step 2. Sam's 20 seconds and the year graphic stop it feeling thin.

Chapter chip: Step 7, The seasons. On screen: Builds in winter. Driveways in summer.
He says ‘we based the ads that we are filming around the seasons’, not the script's line.
8:24AA for ‘From January into spring, ACG's ads were all about big building jobs’.
Room as shot. The scene builds from here.

Insert Sam clip 7 after ‘big jobs are booked in’ (8:35).
‘Large extension project running, driveways fill the diary.’ Sam explains the problem better than the script could.

Year graphic: builds January to May, driveways June to September, builds again from October.
Resin driveway B-roll from the May and August shoots under it.
8:47CC for ‘Every month we asked them what work they wanted more of next’. Nothing on screen.
‘The ads follow the diary’ ends the Step.
Open ‘They booked four or five extensions off of them’ (8:28) is a claim with nothing under it. My instinct: two seconds of extension footage from the spring shoots.
Scene 12 · 8:51 to 9:56 · 65s
Six figures in 65 seconds. One stat pop per number and nothing else moving, so the numbers are the show.

Chapter chip: Step 8, The numbers. Then a stat on each number as he says it.
The list in comment 46 is the list. Nothing else gets a stat.

Stat: 8 to 10 jobs, on ‘eight to 10 of the leads turned into paid projects’.
Four or five extensions and three to four driveways follow at 8:57, no stat on those.

Stat: £200K, the biggest job, on ‘around 200 grand’.
Lloyd has signed off this figure.

Stat: £30 to £40 a lead, on ‘a lead costs ACG around 30 to 40 quid’.
The cheap number, on purpose, before the turn.
9:10BStay on him at B for ‘the more expensive leads like 40, 60 pound’. No stat.
£40 was the top of the average five seconds ago. On screen again it would mean two things.

Stat: £40K to £80K budgets, on ‘putting down as their budget’.
Form answers behind it if you show any, made up names only.
9:26CC for ‘I would pay 60 quid all day’. Nothing on screen.
The most opinionated line in the film. Let it be him.

£9,628 split across the jobs, landing on about £1,200 a job.
That's £9,628 over 8 jobs. Show ‘about £1,200’ as he says it, not the sum.

Stat: jobs £80K to £100K, on ‘averaging around 80 to 100,000 pounds’.
The last number. Then he is the picture again.
9:47CC for ‘Make sure you judge your ads on the jobs that they bring in’. Nothing on screen.
There is a join at 9:45. Going to C right on it hides it.
Scene 13 · 9:56 to 10:25 · 29s
29 seconds, twelve lines, one every two and a half seconds. The list builds with him and does all the work.

Recap: the steps build as a list as he says them, chip family.
Each chip lands on its phrase. He says twelve, the chips match his words, not the eight Step names.

Gold stroke on the last one, judge it on jobs.
The only gold stroke in the recap. Everything above it stays quiet.
Scene 14 · 10:25 to 10:37 · 12s + 10s Sam
Twelve seconds of Lloyd around ten of Sam, then a 15 to 20 second end screen. Sam gets the last word, Lloyd gets the ask.
10:26BB for ‘I'll give Sam the final word’, then cut on the last word.
There is a join at 10:25. The size change hides it.

Sam clip 8 goes here, before Lloyd's call to action.
‘I'd recommend it, it's a very easy process.’ Bed sits low under him.
Gold fill CTA: DM ACG @huntvisualsuk, then the book a call link.
The one gold fill in the whole video (graphics page 06b). He says ‘DM me the word ACG’, the chip carries the handle.
10:36A50/50‘I'll see you next time’ is new, not in the script. Keep it, then the end screen.
Add 15 to 20 seconds of end screen after 10:37 (comment 50).
Sam's eight clips
All eight are in the For Ryan folder, cut from the 4K testimonial with a 1 second handle each end, 25fps. Source times below.

The trailer and 3 Shorts
Lloyd kept the three strongest Steps, so the other Shorts in Frame.io are marked dropped. In and out times are Frame.io's. Each Short drops the Step number and starts on the verb, at the time given. Covers are sketched on Lloyd's two 9:16 stills: build them in the reel style, graphics page section 09. Names follow the pattern ACG Case Study Short 1.

Open calls
A good editor will beat this plan in places. These are the decisions left open on purpose, with my first instinct.
Lloyd to decide
He says about 230 quid, Ads Manager shows £235.83. My instinct: type no total, let the Ads Manager spend column show it.
Lloyd to decide
Sam's clips have the testimonial's captions burned in, in its own style. If a clean version exists, Sam could carry our captions like Lloyd does. Until then, nothing on top of him.
Your call
Read 50fps, Sam 25fps, master 4K. A 25fps 4K timeline keeps Sam native and the read conforms cleanly. Your call.
Your call
Locked off shot, so one mask over the cable would pull its blue down for the whole film. Worth two minutes if it bothers you next to the gold.
Your call
2:31 to 2:59, 3:29 to 3:48 and 6:31 to 6:53 have nothing planned. Each has a first idea on its panel or in its scene's open note. Size changes alone might be enough.
Your call
One bed, low, ducked under him. Three lifts: the £700K reveal at 0:22, the numbers at 8:54, the recap at 9:56. Sit it low under Sam.
